Intro
Why aba.virtual?
Read on what pooled into the idea of creating ABA Virtual as a public platform.

As being a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) I was implementing the behavior and educational plans developed by my supervisor. It turned into coaching and training parents online at the onset of COVID-19. By the time we got hit by COVID-19, I developed interest in finding best ways to learn how my field serves in other domains except delivering clinically. I imagined myself as a professor of ABA teaching at Harvard (oh well!). Back to reality- in a few month span I got super passionate about coaching and training caregivers online. I would be lying if I do not admit that it was undemanding than on-site practice.
I begin my mini online venture later in 2020 when parent’s started approaching me for guidance and private sessions through an instagram profile. Thrilled and overenthusiastic, I left clinics and schools I was working at and dedicated my full time hours to online coaching and training parents, then other caregivers and gradually school therapists.
I felt exhaustion all the way down to my toes in searching for exact resources my clients required and hence, I started creating them inspired by beautiful quote by Toni Morrison: ‘If there is a book you want to read , but it has not been written yet, then you must write it’.
Entering in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, the challenges went into a spiral when I had information (theory) but less strength over applications of it. How would I take data? How will I measure this behavior… or thaattt? And I still completely understand and validate the sentiments of new behavior technicians (or as a matter of fact anyone in the field). Becoming a QASP awarded me with better opportunities, to learn, engage and ethically choose the best for my clients.

The unforgettable asset throughout my work has been structure. I paired that with flexibility instead of rigidity for two major reasons; first it was a proactive way to display the expectation to the clients (or caregivers) to eliminate anxiety for each session and what it would hold. And secondly, that it offers ease- for therapy to become easy for my clients. How I do it? Is a talk-show for another read, HAH!
Here, after thinking of creating a safe space to learn, grow and engage aba.virtual will bring the trainings you were desperately looking for, the stories that you would relate to, resources you were looking forward to and services that we are licensed for- right to your plate!
I count mystruggles like I store my achievements, and that’s how I have created aba.virtual. Happy learning! :)
